Pope Benedict's Replacement Will be 'Ideological Clone'

Now that the Pope has resigned from office there is the near impossible task of choose the next Pope. Even though it might seem that all 10 of the current Cardinals would be able to vote for the next Pope, Benedict has already chosen only 6 out of the 10 Cardinals to vote. John Thavis, author of The Vatican Diaries, said "Even a pope that dies in office has a strong influence over the selection of his successor because he has appointed many of the cardinals who will be voting. This has always been true but it is doubly true now because he is still alive." With this being said it is certain that the next Pope will be very similar to Pope Benedict. To read more, click here.

This is a huge event in the world's history because this is the first time anything like this has ever happened. It will be interesting to watch and see what actions they take regarding this event.
