Frances Mendez sues NYPD and the city for $250 million for handcuffing her seven year old son and interrogating him for almost ten hours. Apparently her son, William Reyes, got in fight over five dollars for lunch. I'll bet there's more to this story than $5. There are a lot of very mean kids ... even in kindergarten. All you have to do is meet the parents to see why the kids behave the way they do - good or bad.It really stupefies me... to all the posters on here saying it is the fault of the police and authority that this child is an undisciplined bully who has taken to committing crimes at the age of 7:Real criminals develop from children just like this one. They learn to deny responsibility, to create a scene over their wrong doing and to whine and cry like babies to give the air of innocence, or repentance. All the while just scheming to get out of punishment for their wrong doings. The fact that the NYPD already dropped the robbery charge based on this kid's accomplice's false statement that he picked up the money not Reyes, shows this child and his parents that there are no consequences to wrong and even violent acts against others.
If the other boy's mother knew she has the right to file charges on her own accord and insist this be investigated fully, this would be a different story. But heaven forbid we should look at what is happening and actually take appropriate actions to stifle the development of a future life long career criminal. Want more details? Wow, this is just a pathetic of a family trying to get money from the government! I also fully agree that this is were really criminals come from. And this little boy getting away with this is just going to make him feel as though he can get away with whatever he wants, and that is not okay at all! Yes the police might have bein wrong to keep him chained up for so long but that doesn't mean you just drop what he did, cause it is still wrong. I don't know when he grows up the real world is gonna hit him and he be throwin in jail for that stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat is kind of amazing in a completely wrong way. Its stupid in my opinion to sue anybody in any case over $5 for $250 million. I think the parents have severely damaged the child by showing him this. If they wanted to be good parents they would have not sued and taken proper punishment. Everybody has to a learn their lessons and see that the law is the law. No exceptions for anyone and people nowadays need to stop making ploys to get money or make an outrageous charge over nothing at all. In my overall opinion this whole argument is unnecessary.
ReplyDeleteWhy would some kid be handcuffed and interigated over 5 dollars? Thats just rediculous! I hope they win this argument cause this is just rediculous.
