The poem I am analyzing is called High Heels and Rain Boots by Hannah G. In this poem the author uses similes and metaphors. The author also compares high heels and rain boots on how much they are different. The high heels are described as fragile and rare, and the rain boots are described as friendly and comfortable.
In each stanza they are comparing high heels and rain boots to one thing, and on how different they are from each other. When the author talks about high heels in the first stanza she says how they are a fragile as a tea cup, and she says rains boot are as sturdy as an oak tree. You can see these are two different things she is comparing she also used similes to describe the high heels and rain boots.
When I read this poem it really flowed well and it was easy to read. This poem was okay. It wasn’t the best poem I have read, but it was okay. The poem just compares two things, nothing really special about it. I picked this poem because it flows together well, and the rain boots remind me as my friends.
