The poem skiing give you a good mental image of a person skiing on the mountain. “I was locking down the straps on the ridiculous shoes.” Start the poem out and that is the first thing you do before you hit the slopes. And i had a mental image of putting on my ski boot on. When the first time i hit the slopes I got it down fast and the first thing i wanted to do was go down a black dymond just like the person did in this poem. “then i hit an embankment and started to fly” One time when I was skiing and there was about two feet of snow and all you saw was white and I went off a 5 foot embankment just like this person did and I landed it and never lost a ski. But then “you get a little cocky as I wooden full stride.” The author wrote this poem and used these words and I thought the made this poem sound good. It made me picture a mental image of what the person was doing and made perfect sense. In my opinion this was a great poem and sounded great and i enjoyed
